Your mission & challenges
As a Network Engineer, you will be an integral part of our IT team, responsible for leading and enhancing our network infrastructure in a cloud-heavy environment. You will ensure seamless and secure network operations, contributing directly to the success of our pioneering robotics technology.
- Direct, plan, and execute network improvement initiatives to optimize performance, reach, and security.
- Evaluate network needs for new facilities and oversee their infrastructure setup from start to finish.
- Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex network issues promptly and efficiently.
- Offer expert recommendations on designing secure networks that align with industry best practices and company security policies.
- Develop network security policies and guide their implementation.
- Design LANs, WANs, and VPNs and lead their implementation to ensure reliable and secure network connectivity across all company locations.
- Guide secure configuration and maintenance of network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology diagrams and procedures for network configurations and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various IT and business initiatives, ensuring network requirements are met.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the company's network infrastructure remains current and robust.
What we can look forward to
In-depth knowledge backed by relevant education, degree, and/or certification.
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in networking roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry-standard technologies and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network equipment from vendors like HP, Sophos, Fortigate, or similar
- Good Experience in the deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wireless networks and Ethernet infrastructure.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and software
- Experience with Zero-Trust principles and methodologies
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead the resolution of major incidents with a highly methodical and analytical approach.
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) and the ability to articulate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Dedicated team player with strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
