Your mission & challenges 

As an Imitation Learning Specialist, you are the key to enabling our robots to learn from humans. 
You develop the algorithms and learning methods that translate human demonstrations into intelligent, reproducible robotic skills. 
Your work bridges human expertise and machine learning: you transform motions, teleoperation data, and demonstrations into scalable learning processes that empower our robots to perform complex tasks safely and efficiently. 
In this role, you combine state-of-the-art approaches from imitation learning and reinforcement learning, collaborating closely with our UX, perception, and AI teams to bring learning to life not only in the lab but directly on real robotic systems. 

  • You develop imitation learning and learning-from-demonstration methods that enable robots to learn from human demonstrations.
  • You process and model demonstration data from motion capture systems and teleoperation setups.
  • You combine imitation learning with reinforcement learning to create robust and high-performing learning strategies.
  • You design and implement scalable training pipelines to support efficient model training and iteration.
  • You collaborate closely with UX, perception, and AI teams to deliver integrated and practical learning solutions.
  • You evaluate learning performance directly on real robotic systems to ensure reliable and safe behavior. 

What we can look forward to 

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • You have experience in imitation learning and are familiar with methods such as Behavior Cloning (BC), DAgger, GAIL, or similar approaches.
  • You possess strong skills in Python and common machine learning frameworks.
  • You have a solid understanding of robotic kinematics and dynamics.
  • Ideally, you have experience with human-robot interaction and knowledge in multimodal learning, particularly combining visual data with action information.
  • You ideally have experience with teleoperation systems.
