Your mission & challenges: 

At the humanoid robot department, we are looking for multiple excellent humanoid robot developers to join our team. Your tasks will span a wide variety of topics connected to the need for developing 4NE-1. This includes:

  • Low-level control engineering in real time Linux environments​
  • Higher-level networking​
  • Define and develop control and software architecture for embedded systems​
  • Lead the design and implementation of control algorithms and real-time software solutions​
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of software architectures​
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, system engineers, and software developers, to ensure seamless system integration​
  • Conduct software and system-level testing, validation, and verification​
  • Review and approve design documentation, code, and test plans

 

What we can look forward to: 

  • Master's, or PhD degree in computer engineering or a similar field ​
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, particularly C, C++, and Python, with Rust as a bonus​
  • Solid understanding of linear algebra and advanced computational concepts​
  • Experience with real-time and embedded systems (RTOS, embedded Linux) and model-based design tools like MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet), and optionally, Ethercat
  • Proficiency in Git for version control / management and collaborative development​
  • Strong analytical skills for tackling complex technical challenges​
  • Knowledge of the following topics would be an advantage:​
    • Deep Learning experience with PyTorch, especially in Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, or Behavior Cloning​
    • Knowledge of real-time control systems and robotics, including Robot Operating System (ROS)​
    • Competence in advanced 3D graphics, game engines, and web development frameworks like React and Svelte
