Your mission & challenges 

In the AI Department, you'll develop the cognitive abilities of our robots, enabling them to understand and interact with their surroundings. You'll work on algorithms that make machines intelligent and adaptive – ranging from object recognition and language processing to decision-making in complex environments. You'll be part of a team that pushes technological boundaries and collaborates closely with software, hardware, and product management teams. Using cutting-edge tools and methods from machine learning and AI, you'll work on projects that have a direct impact on our products. If you're excited about making machines smarter and shaping the future of human-machine interaction, the AI Department is the perfect place for you. 

  • You design and take ownership of domain-driven services on AWS, managing everything from API design through to production operations.
  • You drive architectural decisions for multi-region, multi-account deployments in a highly scalable cloud environment.
  • You implement infrastructure as code for multi-stack deployments using modern automation and deployment frameworks.
  • You build type-safe APIs and publish SDK packages along with supporting tools such as command-line interfaces and frontend applications.
  • You design workflows for handling and analyzing large volumes of data, including the automated management of metadata and storage.
  • You automate operational processes end-to-end, including deployment pipelines, monitoring, logging, and security controls.

What we can look forward to 

  • You have more than 5 years of software development experience in a modern DevOps-oriented environment.
  • You possess advanced programming skills in TypeScript and are confident working with additional languages such as Python or Go.
  • You have a strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design, self-contained systems, and clean software architecture.
  • You have deep expertise with Amazon Web Services, especially in serverless technologies and managed cloud services.
  • You are proficient in Infrastructure as Code using frameworks such as the AWS Cloud Development Kit or Terraform.
  • You have a collaborative mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and are willing to take responsibility for services from design to operation.
  • You are able to work closely with cross-functional teams in AI, software engineering, and product to deliver impactful solutions.
  • You have full professional proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
